SKI SCHOOL PROS
Private Ski & Snowboard Instructors, Guides and LessonsBeaver Creek Ski & Snowboard Instructors & Private Guides
There are a lot of great coaches, guides, and instructors to serve your needs at Beaver Creek & Vail Resorts. The Vail and Beaver Creek Ski & Snowboard Schools have everything from non-certified rookies to fully certified veterans.
Ski School Pros connects you to select certified pros who are adept at designing a personalized plan to help you reach your goals and enjoy an experience of a lifetime.
Ski School Pros may be able to connect you to an available Beaver Creek Instructor to be booked and paid for directly through the Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School, but we do not book or sell you the lessons ourselves.
BEAVER CREEK IS NO LONGER ALLOWING US TO MAKE REFERRALS FOR FIRST TIME SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS- PLEASE CONTACT THE SKI SCHOOL DIRECTLY AT 1-970-754-5300 or email BCSkiSchool@vailresorts.com.
Pay it Forward
Ski School Pros is a “Pay it Forward” service. We donate our time to recruit and coordinate with top instructors, guides and coaches to put you on their personal ski school schedules.
We kindly ask that you consider purchasing a Donor Money Philanthropic Gift Card.
While purchasing Donor Money does not guarantee that Ski School Pros will be able to find you an available instructor or guide, 100% of Donor Money sales are passed onto the organization you choose to support.
Philanthropic Asset Reserve
The Philanthropic Asset Reserve (PAR) makes impact investments and nonprofit grants.
As an alternatively to purchasing a Donor Money Gift Card, you can make a donation to the Philanthropic Asset Reserve (PAR) as your way of “Paying it Forward.” Put good Karma on your side!
PAR is a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) sponsored by Impact Assets, a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit. Your PAR donation is 100% deductable as permited by the US Tax Code.
Unfortunately the US Forest Service has given Vail Resorts a Ski School Monopoly for Beaver Creek and Vail. This is discussed in great detail at
https://www.skitalk.com/
- Connection to a specific instructor puts you on that instructor’s personal schedule. This means the resort won’t cancel a booking last minute due to instructor shortages, which they have been doing more frequently to those that book on the resort website.
- Better communication before lesson day.
- No rookie instructors.
- The instructor gets a slight pay bump for a request while the client pays the same price.

Please go to vail.com or beavercreek.com for actual rates.
Ski School sold out a lot in 2021-22. In an effort to attract more instructors, Vail Resorts has raised the starting salary to $20/hour, but this is no guarantee that there won't be sell outs this season also. Be sure to BOOK EARLY to get the best rate and instructor availability.
Vail Resorts website has stated, "Gratuities for coaches are not a requirement but an appropriate and appreciated gesture. A 15-20% gratuity based on the cost of the lesson will make your coach feel very appreciated and valued."
Don't Be Shy. Get In Touch.
Please use the form linked to the calendar to request a private lesson instructor or guide. If there is no availability shown on your desired date, you may pick the closest available date (and put the dates you want in the notes section). Be advised that many Vail Resort managed ski schools are selling out frequently due to instructor shortages and are giving instructors less flexibility to add days to their work schedule to accomodate private lesson guest requests.
Remember, requesting a specific instructor doesn't cost you extra and typically puts more money into the instructors pocket. Private lessons are not cheap, so make sure you get your moneys worth by having the best instructor possible.
